Update for 1/27/09

January 27, 2009

New review for The Cosmic Norseman #1 by Clint Basinger, and once again the weatherman has fooled me into taking a snow day when I didn’t really need to.  That’s it, tomorrow I’m going to work even if I have to take the dog sled in to get there…

Update for 1/26/09

January 26, 2009

New review for The Comic Book Holocaust by Johnny Ryan, and it’s exactly what it sounds like.

Update for 1/25/09

January 25, 2009

New review for Null & Void #6 by Donovan Cater, also available in the online store, and I had to dig deep in the vault for this one.

Update for 1/24/09

January 24, 2009

New review for Eric Whetsel is Johnny Tobaccoseed by Tom Cherry, and yes, I did update Tom’s page fairly recently.  If only I had a bigger pile of minis to review I could mix things up a bit more.  Alas…

Update for 1/23/09

January 23, 2009

New review for Watching Days Become Years #4 by Jeff LeVine, also available in the online store.

Update for 1/22/09

January 22, 2009

New review for Family Tales #5 by Janice Lowry, and it’s been one whole day since my plea for new comics and I haven’t received any yet!  Oh woe is me.

Update for 1/21/09

January 21, 2009

New review for Inside Outsiders #42 by John Robbins (and did I mention in the review that I’m not entirely convinced that this is actually a #42?), and I’m throwing a call out there for more comics again.  Once I get the old tax return I can get a pile of new stuff to review, no problem.  Until then, well, it’s just the stuff people send me in the mail.  It also doesn’t have to be your stuff necessarily either, you know.  Maybe you know somebody who does excellent work but is shy about putting it out there, or maybe you have a list of things that you are amazed aren’t already on the site.  Or maybe you don’t want to send me comics because I was harsh to one of your older books.   Well… so send me your awesome new book to prove how wrong I was!  I love it when that happens.  This daily review thing can only keep up as long as I keep getting books in the mail.  If you consider that a good thing, send me some books!

Update for 1/20/09

January 20, 2009

New review for Eclectic Comics #1 by Andrew Wales, and is it possible that that colossal failure is finally out of office?  Still doesn’t seem real.

Update for 1/19/09

January 19, 2009

New review for Mallard #3, an anthology out of England edited by Tom English.

Update for 1/18/09

January 18, 2009

New review for Thomas Wogan is Dead by Dave Hughes, and I should mention that Young American Comics is apparently going out of business and they’re selling a bunch of stuff at their website for ridiculously tiny prices.  Hm, maybe this economy really is broken and I’m in trouble thinking a website like this can ever make more than a few pennies at a time.  Oh well.

Update for 1/17/09

January 17, 2009

New review for II: No Time Like the Present by Eve Englezos & Joshua Moutray (part 2 of a 3 part series), also available in the online store, and have I mentioned how much easier that thing is to navigate after fixing it up around the first of the year?  Try it and see!

Update for 1/16/09

January 16, 2009

New review for This is What Concerns Me Presents Remainders by Susie Cagle (the title looks less clunky on the comic than it does all typed out here), and it occured to me recently that if I keep reviewing comics every day I’m going to need to be getting more stuff in the mail to review.  Sure, I have enough for another couple of weeks, but then it starts getting dicey.  So why not send me your comics?

Update for 1/15/09

January 15, 2009

New review for Plastic Farm: Fertilizer by Rafer Roberts, a sort of in-between graphic novel to the regular story, for those of you who were curious.

Update for 1/14/09

January 14, 2009

New review for Children & God #2 by Kelly Clancy, and I’m going to have to come up with more interesting conversational topics if I’m going to do one of these updates every day…

Update for 1/13/09

January 13, 2009

New review of Nibble #1 by Tom Cherry, and jeers to serious winter weather turning into nothing after I’ve already called off work.

Update for 1/12/09

January 12, 2009

New review for Run, Damn You, Run (early nominee for best title of the year, that’s for sure) by O.E. Rivera.

Update for 1/11/09

January 11, 2009

New review for Good Minnesotan #3 by Various people from Minnesota, and all you people are getting ready to send me your comics to review, right?  OK, good.

Update for 1/10/09

January 10, 2009

New review for Always Comix #4 edited by Erin Griffin & Sarah Louise Warhaftig, and it looks like the planned snow day in Ohio has turned into an ice day.  Huzzah!

Update for 1/9/09

January 9, 2009

New review for Cast of 2008 Beijing Olympics by Jeff Zwirek, and for those of you who were curious, that resolution of mine does extend to weekend updates (for as long as I have comics anyway, so send them to that address on the right).  Up this weekend:  anthologies!  And here are my eBay things listed, one last time, for those of you who may want such things.

Infinity War and Infinity Crusade

Punisher comics (including some that are “worth something”, I swear!)

Armageddon 2001 and crossovers

Captain America

Thor and Incredible Hulk

Iron Man & Daredevil

They Might Be Giants laserdisc

Update for 1/8/09

January 8, 2009

New review for The Fifty Flip Experiment #6 by Dan Hill and yes, I am going to flog my eBay auctions while I have them up, so scroll down to see if they’re right for you!
