New review for a book from Craig Thompson & James Kochalka called Conversation #1, and a new Revolution With a Catchy Phrase from Pat Aulisio in the online store.
Update for 3/22/05
March 22, 2005Lunch Hour Comix #1 by Robert Ullman is new today. Oh, and as it seems to be the hot topic these days, if I’m ever in an almost brain-dead, vegetative state with no hope of recovery, of course I’d like the plug pulled. Then I’d like my body shot out of a cannon. Not just the ashes like Hunter S. Thompson, I mean my whole body. Much more awkward that way…
Update for 3/21/05
March 21, 2005I’m back! Worn out, but back in Columbus. I had a whole pile of comics waiting for me from all over the place, so there should be plenty of new stuff here until the inevitable SPACE pile in the middle of next month. There should also be some new things for the store and even a new banner one of these days (sorry about the lack of one now). Ansis Purins has a new update today…
Update for 3/18/05
March 18, 2005Here’s an update for Tom Motley’s True Fiction #5 and Isaac Cates and Mike Wenthe’s Demonstration. So I managed to get updates up for 3 out of the 5 weekdays that I was on the road, which is a pretty good ratio in my book, considering my usual luck with computers…
Update for 3/16/05
March 16, 2005Can’t seem to get this computer to cooperate, and it would have been a very late update anyway, so I’ll just try and make up for it later in the week. Happy almost St. Patrick’s Day!
Update for 3/14/05
March 14, 2005Hooray for being able to post my Joey Weiser update (for The Unremarkable Tree Frog) while in Madison WI! Granted, I’m tickled by things that are old hat to anybody who’s had the internet for more than a few days, but I’m OK with that, so don’t judge…
Update for 3/11/05
March 11, 2005Here’s a new one from Eleanor Davis called I’ve Lost My Spots! Happy weekend everybody, I’ll be traveling next week but I should still be able to post updates from the road, so you won’t even be able to tell that I’m gone, if everything goes as planned…
Update for 3/10/05
March 10, 2005New review for My Life in Family Vacations by Kimberly Paglia. Don’t mind the other updates, this system just puts anything I edit at the top of the page and I had noticed a few errors on those pages…
Update for 3/9/05
March 9, 2005It’s a sad day, as this is the last of the Patrick Dean comics (Big Deal #6) I have to review. Oh well, it’s not like he’s retiring or anything like that. Also, I just got a few Lonnie Allen books for the online store, just so everybody knows…
Update for 3/8/05
March 8, 2005New review for Ben White and Snake Pit #9, and I forgot to mention yesterday the sale on the Top Shelf website. It’s only for about a week and has a whole pile of comics (even graphic novels) for $1 or $3 and other stuff on sale too. You have to spend $30, but there’s a ton of stuff there and that shouldn’t be too much trouble…
Update for 3/7/05
March 7, 2005Who wants to hear me ramble about politcal stuff? Then read my review of The Bush Junta in the Various Fantagraphics page!
Update for 3/5/05
March 5, 2005OK, I’ve had a few requests for a grab bag-like option in the online store, so I’ve decided to put together $20 worth of comics every month that I love and think aren’t getting enough attention, at least as far as my online store goes. Here’s the link for the batch for March. We’ll see in the coming months if anybody thinks this is a good idea, but a lot of this site is an experiment in progress, so why not this too?
Update for 3/4/05
March 4, 2005Here’s a new comics from Tod Parkhill called "I’m Just Here For The Pornstars", and if that doesn’t get your attention, nothing else I can say here will…
Update for 3/3/05
March 3, 2005Here’s a new review for Kelli Nelson’s comic Three Questions About Daddy, part of my continuing quest to review all the stuff I got for the store and put up with no description at all.
Update for 2/28/05
February 28, 2005New review for Chelsea Lea! Also, if anybody from FLUKE is reading this site, I have a few questions about some comics I got in Georgia. Everybody else, move along, nothing to see here. 1. Anybody have any contact info for Jason Matherly? 2. Who made those comics from the gumball machine? No contact info there either and 3. How about those comics that were made on what looked like adding tape and rolled up? Not seeing much there in the way of names. OK, anybody with any info can send me an e-mail, any help would be greatly appreciated!
Update for 2/25/05
February 25, 2005Here’s Caesar Meadow’s FLUKE comic, and happy weekend everybody!
Update for 2/24/05
February 24, 2005A new comic from Eleanor Davis. Also, how about them… um… I hate not having hockey to talk about…
