New review today for Monkey Squad One #10 by Doug Michel. Sorry for not getting as many reviews up this weekend as I was hoping, but my “I’ll make up for lost time on the weekends!” approach to this election season has been based on the assumption that I wouldn’t also be working on the weekends. Silly me!
Update for 9/6/12
September 6, 2012New review today for Chimps in Space #2 by Donna Almendrala. So sleepy…
Update for 9/3/12
September 3, 2012New review today for Jason Ludtke’s Colossal #2: Illumine. As I’ve been saying, reviewing may get dicey for a bit with election overtime and all that, but I should find time for at least a couple of reviews during the week and a couple on the weekends. So basically my usual output, just on different days than you may be used to.
Update for 9/2/12
September 2, 2012New review for Important Comics Volume 2 by Dina Kelberman. How’s the holiday weekend treating you? Hello? Sorry, I can’t hear you. I should have realized that before I typed a question.
Update for 9/1/12
September 1, 2012New review today for Jerry’s Journal by Neil Fitzpatrick, or the “Neil Jam” guy if you’re startled to see his name next to a comic without “Neil” in it somewhere. I should be able to post regular reviews over the weekend, then on Tuesday it’s back to uncertain overtime land for a bit. But hey, maybe it won’t be as bad as past presidential elections. After all, it’s not like anybody out there is genuinely excited to vote for Romney.
Update for 8/30/12
August 30, 2012New review today for DemonTears by Bernie McGovern. Sorry about the slow week; it’s been a bit chaotic around here lately but I’ll make up for it over the weekend. And then next week the overtime starts, so it might be mostly weekend reviews along with a review or two during the week through the election. Or maybe it’s won’t be that hectic, or maybe I’ll devise some other system to get the daily reviews up. Or maybe somebody is out there who would like to ramble on about comics here and there? If so, get in touch with me and maybe I’ll find some room on this bloated mess of a website for your thoughts on comics.
Update for 8/27/12
August 27, 2012New review today for Colossal #1: Feathers and Composite Armour by Jason Ludtke. And I’ll be reviewing the next two issues of that series over the next two Mondays, because I’m intrigued and don’t want to wait months before doing it. Or Tuesdays if I’m not around on that Monday.
Update for 8/25/12
August 25, 2012New review today for Goofy Funnies #3 by Dexter Cockburn. Kids, that comic is not for you. I’m afraid that you’re restricted to the entire rest of the internet if you’re looking for naked people online.
Update for 8/23/12
August 23, 2012New review for Chimps in Space #1 by Donna Almendrala, and I’m still more or less on track to get a full week of reviews up before all is said and done. I could probably use a few more review comics though, in case you had any laying around and were wondering if you should send them.
Update for 8/21/12
August 21, 2012New review today for Save the Ruined by Marc Palm. So how’s your week going?
Update for 8/20/12
August 20, 2012New review today for Anhedonia #1 by Nick Jeffrey. Yes, that is all that I have to say on this Monday.
Update for 8/19/12
August 19, 2012New review today for Baltic Comic Magazine #11: Artventurous by various artists, mostly but not completely from Latvia. See, weekend updates are possible!
Update for 8/17/12
August 17, 2012New review today for Too Blue Comix #1 by various artists. Not too many though, as this is only an 8 page book. Well, four out of five days with reviews posted in a timely fashion isn’t too bad, so let’s see if I can do that again next week. I’ll also probably get at least one review up this weekend, just in case anybody periodically checks in for such things.
Update for 8/15/12
August 15, 2012New review today for Oh Babies! by Jeff Lok. See, maybe I have worked out these schedule problems. Which I shouldn’t have typed until the week was over. Dammit!
Update for 8/14/12
August 14, 2012New review today for Krunk Vol. 2 #7 by George Tautkus. What, nobody wants those two kittens I mentioned yesterday? Are you sure? You do know that they need a good home, right? And that the poor things are sleeping outside at the moment, at the mercy of all sorts of creatures? Cripes, I may have just convinced myself to take the damned things in…
Update for 8/13/12
August 13, 2012Geez, even when I’m around for a review, the website freezes up for no good reason. Anyway, I think I may have found a way around all the missed review days, but I’ll wait and see if it actually works before being sure that the problem is solved. New review today for Star Pilot #8 by Frank Swartz! Oh, and if you live in Columbus and want two new kittens (they’re not joined at the hip, so you could technically just get one), there are a couple of neighborhood kittens that are completely adorable. E-mail me and I’ll tell you all about them.
Update for 8/7/12
August 7, 2012New review today for The Index #1 by Caitlin Cass. Happy (very tiny in Columbus) election day!
Update for 8/4/12
August 4, 2012New reviews today for Injury #4 by Ted May, Jeff Wilson & Mike Reddy and My Life in Records #2: Into My Heart by Grant Reynolds. See, told you I could manage four reviews this week! Granted, it’s a sadly low bar, but still. Oh, and in case you missed it in the review, Alternative Comics is back making comics after a four year hiatus (including a new issue of Magic Whistle very soon), so huzzah!
Update for 8/2/12
August 2, 2012Seriously, I will get four reviews up this week. If anybody out there has mastered time travel and could give me another hour or two in the day I’d appreciate it. New review today for Quark #2: Dream Me A World by Jerry Goebert & Brad W. Foster.
Update for 7/30/12
July 30, 2012New review today for The Fifty Flip Experiment #15 by Dan Hill. I’m shooting for at least 4 reviews this week, with the possibility of “this week” including the weekend if I get behind. Deal?
