Update for 5/16/13

May 16, 2013

New reviews today for Champ 2010 by Jed Collins and Tales From the Interstate #1: 20th Anniversary Edition by Pam Bliss. How’s your week going?

Update for 5/15/13

May 15, 2013

New reviews today for Blindspot #2 by Joseph Remnant and Black Rose #1 by Christopher Arndt, Aaron Minier & Brandon Peat. I’ve asked this a thousand times, but just in case anybody out there is reading this who designs/upgrades/maintains on life support websites like this one, please feel free to contact me, because if I’m getting sick of the load times on this thing then I can’t imagine anybody reading this is any happier about the situation.

Update for 5/14/13

May 14, 2013

Sorry about the long gap there between reviews, work took over for a bit and the website didn’t seem to be working yesterday when I tried (many times) to post reviews. Two new ones today, for Blue Sunday by all kinds of Columbus artists and Xoc: The Journey of a Great White by Matt Dembicki. Regular reviewing should be happening from now on. More SPACE stuff this week, then next week I have to start digging into the stuff that’s been piling up in the mail.

Update for 5/6/13

May 6, 2013

New reviews today for The Mayans Were Right by Katherine Wirick and Arubadingle by K. Sekelsky and Saffron B-R. There’s an election in Columbus tomorrow, so reviews may be sporadic this week until that’s all sorted out. Or hey, maybe everything will go completely smoothly and there will be no disruptions at all! But I doubt it. Go vote!

Update for 5/3/13

May 3, 2013

New reviews today for As Eavesdropped #4 by Suzanne Baumann and The Cornelia Collection by Kel Crum. Happy weekend everybody!

Update for 5/2/13

May 2, 2013

Sorry about the lack of reviews yesterday, but there is an election next week, which means my schedule may or may or not be a bit dicey until that’s over with (“over with” for me means maybe even a week or two past the election, depending on how it goes). But not today! New reviews for Sovereign State #1 by Marcos Perez and Wild Women of the Kitty-Kat Galaxy! by Sean Frost, Rafer Roberts and Wendi Strang-Frost.

Update for 4/30/13

April 30, 2013

New reviews today for Moab by Pam Bliss and Rude Awakening #1 by some guy named Ed. Yep, that’s all I was able to find out about him online, but I should be able to update that soon (?).

Update for 4/29/13

April 29, 2013

Work got out of hand last week and into the weekend, so sorry about the lack of updates on Friday. New reviews today for The Infinite Wait by Julia Wertz and Cyanide Milkshake #4 by Liz Suburbia. Oh, and there’s an extra sample on Julia’s review, mostly because those two pages could serve as a nice cautionary tale on how not to act towards comics people that you meet at conventions.

Update for 4/25/13

April 25, 2013

Just had time (barely) for one new review today, for Bad Habits #1 by Matt Dembicki, Carol Dembicki and Michael J. Auger. If all goes well I should be able to get at least a couple more reviews up tomorrow.

Update for 4/24/13

April 24, 2013

New reviews today for Fool Girl: Of Monkeys and Masks by Chad Sell and Fuzy by various artists. It’s an anthology about beards, what’s not to love?

Update for 4/23/13

April 23, 2013

New reviews today for Ghost Castle by Maryanne Rose Papke and In The Sounds And Seas Volume 1 by Marnie Galloway. Spoiler alert: those of you looking forward to me giving a really terrible review of something today are going to have to wait. Oh, and if anybody knows whether it’s more effective to punch, kick or stab a wireless router to get it working again, I’m open to suggestions.

Update for 4/22/13

April 22, 2013

New reviews today for Full Sanction: Road Trip! by Joe Mochove & Rusty Rowley and Villains Galore #1 by Jacob Warrenfeltz. Eagle-eyed readers may notice that the posting times for these two reviews is four hours apart. This is because my internet connection is spotty and stupid, and I’d better stop bitching about it now so I can post this comment about how terrible it is right now. Take that, internet connection!

Updateish for 4/19/13

April 19, 2013

No time for reviews today (although next week should be packed to the gills), but I do have to point out a Kickstarter fundraiser that you should all think about supporting. Chris Monday is trying to get the printing costs together for an anthology called My Stupid Raygun, featuring himself, Cassie Phillips, Jed Collins, Lauren Purje, Charlie Touvell, Matthew Presutti, Meagan Alwood-Karcic, Max Wheeler, Nate McDonough, Heather Hively, Nick Perry and Aaron Andrews. He’s hoping to make a ten issue series out of this, featuring artists who are “compelled to make art at every moment that they can.” Sounds like a worthy goal to me, so throw him a few bucks if you can!

Update for 4/18/13

April 18, 2013

New reviews today for Reptile Museum #1 by Cody Pickrodt and The Pilot’s Journey by Mike Madsen. Late reviews because my website decided not to accept images for an hour and I tried to meet somebody in the completely wrong part of town and ended up stuck in traffic forever. I think that means it’s time for drinking…

Update for 4/17/13

April 17, 2013

More SPACE! New reviews for Cartoon Clouds #1 by Joseph Remnant and Pretending You’re Not Crazy by Ryan Dow.

Update for 4/16/13

April 16, 2013

SPACE was a blast! I assume that you all went and already know it, but there it is just in case you missed it. New reviews for Teeth by Jeff Gibbons and Seasonal #1 by Sarah Morton & Bobbi Parry, and the plan is to do some extra reviews for a bit, as I have a huge pile of comics to read. Hey, if you were at that “open draw” event at the hotel bar at around 10pm Saturday night, please e-mail me using that link on the right. I’m trying to unravel a mystery…

Update for 4/12/13

April 12, 2013

New review for Robot Bildungsroman #3 by Joe Davidson, who is going to be at SPACE tomorrow and Sunday. If you’re within driving distance of Columbus, come visit!

Update for 4/11/13

April 11, 2013

New review today for The Dream of Iowa by Pam Bliss, who is also going to be at SPACE this weekend. Everybody have their travel plans all set?

Update for 4/10/13

April 10, 2013

New review today for Spinadoodles: The Third Year by Sam Spina. Sure, he’s not from Columbus, but he will be at SPACE this weekend, so the theme week is secure. As for adding more of Dan Taylor’s comics to the store, boy howdy am I trying, but this whole website seems to be hitting some serious technical snags lately. Either that or I just don’t know what I’m doing. Either works!

Update for 4/9/13

April 9, 2013

New review today for SPACE Anthology 2012 edited by Brian John Mitchell. Hey, just in time for SPACE 2013!
