New review for King Cat #67 by John Porcellino (also available in the store) and Pale Fire by M.K. Reed.\u00c2\u00a0 I’ve decided to start an “official” fundraiser, or at least it’ll be as official as anything around here.\u00c2\u00a0 I need comics and don’t have much in the way of disposable income, so I’ve figured out a couple of solutions: either order more stuff from the internets or attend SPX in a couple of weeks.\u00c2\u00a0 Either one of those things takes money, driving to SPX would take a bit more money.\u00c2\u00a0 I’ll break it down for you, as it currently sits in my head.<\/p>\n
$0 – Time to start reviewing my old Super Villain Team-Up pile<\/p>\n
$1-10: Buy beer<\/p>\n
$11-15: Buy slightly better beer<\/p>\n
$16-150: Buy comics online<\/p>\n
$151-infinity: Drive to SPX, either sleep in car or cheap hotel if the money I receive is closer to infinity.<\/p>\n
Clearly, if you don’t want me drinking you might as well order more than $15 worth of comics all by yourself.\u00c2\u00a0 It’s been ages since I’ve been to a non-SPACE convention and would love to get to SPX, if it’s even remotely possible.\u00c2\u00a0 The convention is September 26 & 27, so this fundraiser will go a little less than two weeks (and I’ll post updates about itif the situation warrants it) starting… now!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
